KIMONO REBORN is a cultural and sustainable awareness project that upcycles beautiful and neglected vintage kimono for use by turning them into modern fashion items.

Design notes:Diamond geometric pattern symbolizes vitality and prosperity since it is inspired by ‘Hishi’ (菱), a fast-growing water plant. It is a classic, simple motif yet powerful image. We purposely used the inside of the original kimono to the outlook of the jacket to make it more stylish and modern image with metallic color tone.

Material: Japanese cotton and synthetic fiber kimono (No liner)
Jacket production: Handmade in Chiang Mai, Thailand
