KIMONO REBORN is a cultural and sustainable awareness project that upcycles beautiful and neglected vintage kimono for use by turning them into modern fashion items.
Design notes: In Japanese culture, the floral pattern has always been popular for Kimono textile. This jacket is a house of famous Japanese blossom; Peony, Chrysanthemum, Iris, and Plum blossom, carried beauty and many good meanings behind e.g., wealth, nobility, renewal. It is all-in-one and expresses the happiness of spring. The jacket can be wearable for any occasion in both elegant and casual styles beyond age.
